1. Who we supply to

EI Battery Solutions supplies registered electrical contractors and builders approved by EI Battery for a trade account. Builders must engage appropriately licensed electrical contractors and appropriately accredited installers for the work. Builder account approval does not authorise electrical work. We supply goods only and do not provide system design, installation, commissioning or maintenance. We do not offer direct retail sales to residential end users.

Before approving a builder account we may request its ABN, business details and nominated electrical contractor. The installer must hold the licences and any current accreditation required by the jurisdiction, network and incentive scheme. Trade approval is not approval of an installation or eligibility for a rebate.

2. Product compliance and certifications

Confirm the exact model, variant, certificate, current approved-product listing and expiry status before ordering and before installation. A family-level label or certificate for a similar model is not evidence that every configuration qualifies. CEC product listing is distinct from installer accreditation. Dyness batteries, Cygni inverters, Solis inverters and Risen panels require their own applicable documentation. EI Battery does not promise universal inverter compatibility, network approval, rebate eligibility or VPP acceptance. Manufacturer data and written compatibility confirmation must match the proposed system.

3. Installer obligations

The purchaser must engage appropriately licensed electrical contractors. Where the applicable incentive scheme or program requires accredited design or installation, use appropriately accredited persons, including Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) accreditation where required. CEC installer accreditation is not the current accreditation pathway. The installer is responsible for design, sizing, equipment matching, permits, site assessment, commissioning, testing, customer handover and statutory certificates. Follow current applicable laws, relevant standards and amendments, including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 5033, AS/NZS 5139, AS/NZS 4777.1 and AS/NZS 4777.2 where applicable to the equipment and work. The installer must verify the editions and transition arrangements applicable to the installation; this list is not exhaustive.

4. Grid connection, rebates and VPPs

Obtain and comply with the relevant distribution network service provider approvals and settings before connection or commissioning. Confirm export constraints, phase, metering and system limits for the site. Product supply does not guarantee connection approval, STCs, any Commonwealth or state incentive, or VPP enrolment. Participation and operating conditions must be checked against the exact product, warranty and program at the time of installation.

5. Electrical and battery safety

Only qualified personnel may handle installation or service work. Do not open, dismantle or modify products without the required manufacturer authorisation. For smoke, hissing, unusual heat, swelling or fire: keep clear, evacuate, call Triple Zero (000), advise that a battery energy storage system is involved and follow emergency responders' directions. Do not attempt to fight a battery-system fire or touch or move affected equipment. Re-entry and isolation must follow emergency-service and qualified-person guidance. Consult the exact manufacturer manual and SDS for routine handling, storage and transport; contact EI Battery for documents and safe return instructions. Never place batteries in general waste or ordinary recycling.

6. Consumer data and privacy

Handle customer and installation records lawfully. Provide only information reasonably required for orders, compliance or warranty support, and ensure you have authority to disclose any end-customer information. Our collection, storage, disclosure, marketing and complaints practices are described in our privacy policy. The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles apply to the extent required by law.

7. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, including under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). A business purchase is not automatically excluded from the ACL; coverage depends on the statutory definition and exceptions, including purchases for resupply. Where the ACL applies, EI Battery will meet its obligations as supplier and will not require a customer to seek a remedy solely from the manufacturer.

8. Dispute resolution and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts and tribunals of Victoria, subject to any mandatory jurisdiction or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Direct concerns to admin@eibattery.com.au. We aim to respond and work towards resolution within 10 business days, explaining any further investigation needed. No internal complaint procedure prevents urgent relief, a statutory claim or access to a competent regulator, tribunal or court.

9. Version and updates

Reviewed 16 October 2026. Updates apply prospectively and do not unilaterally alter an accepted order or existing warranty. Retain the accepted quotation, applicable terms and manufacturer warranty version with each sale.
